Lots of people try to lay claim to interpret our ancestors and their values, especially people exhorting us to follow one or the other political path. But the fact is, all of our attitudes are their (our ancestors') attitudes. That's where we got them.

I find that the more living I experience, the more respect I have for those who have lived more than I have.

Thanks for the good word, Scott! I thoroughly enjoy writing this blog.

RobinRobinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08522501894058291952noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6946355152392294973.post-47628222280096201522011-04-25T08:44:49.794-04:002011-04-25T08:44:49.794-04:00Robin, you have a wonderful gift of narrative. I was especially struck by the post on the ancestor gong you made, and how it was formed from the saw blade used by your grand father to build the house in which you now live. In our culture, it is so easy to become disconnected from our ancestors, and to forget that who we are and how we live is an extension of who they were and how they lived.

Respectfully

ScottScott Xian-Liaohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05880387751785757564noreply@blogger.com
