WW: On the Black River

(Fishing with my nephew. Open in a new window or tab to see it better.)

Appearing also on My Corner of the World.

  1. It looks like a nice quite place to relax. Nice even if you don't catch any fish. Great you spend time with your nephew. I wish my brothers had spent time with my youngest son, especially after his father died. Uncles matter.

  3. Thanks, Lisa. We caught no fish that day, after several hours on the river, but the time was very well spent. (OK, my nephew did catch one cutthroat, finally. He released it.) I agree with you about uncles. Being part of T-Bone's life has if anything been more beneficial to me than it was to him. It helps that I don't have a wife or family of my own; I'm generally available to hang out whenever convenient.

And the sky that day was in fact gorgeous. Most of our rivers here are shallow and swift-running, so it's a novel treat to have a calm stretch like this.

  4. That is, indeed, a wonderfully peaceful scene! Even if you don't catch fish, it's still a good day :)

It's great to see your link at 'My Corner of the World' this week!
