(According to information painted on its crossbar, this marker memorialises a young person. It's nailed high on a Douglas fir on the shore of a pond that's accessible from a nearby trail. It shocks one into reality - my opinion, that is how people should be buried, Not on a funeral home plot.
ReplyDeleteIt does indeed give one pause, but the fellow's not buried here; it's just a memorial. (It would be very hard to bury someone in the forest; the ground is about 90% roots.)
