WW: Bullet hole

(I've lived in the rural districts of several countries, but never witnessed this phenomenon to the extent it's typical in the States; in fact, I can't remember seeing it anywhere else. Bullet holes in roadside objects, such as signs, utility boxes, mailboxes, and such. In this case it's a safety rail on a bridge.)
