Okay, I'm new here because I just came back from I think its been a year. I had back surgery & a few other probs, but I got lonely so I tried to come back & forgot everything, but tonite I DID IT! WOO HOO! HURRAY, ME! HAVE A GREAT DAY! I'll be back again! Woo Hoo! What's nettle????
Nettles (Urtica dioica) are a plant that stings when you touch it, but the new spring shoots are great food after they've been cooked. It's more or less like spinach, but richer texture and flavour and much more nutritious. Since they're only available for about month, I gorge myself on them each year about this time.
good, so the season started. I haven't seen them in my usual place.

ReplyDeleteWish we had Nettles. I think that I'm going out and picking some Dandelions. They are my favorite available spring greens.
ReplyDeleteDandelions are good, too. And this is the season for them!
